Bella's Promise Pet Rescue Medical Fund

Since its founding in 2018, Bella’s Promise has kept our commitment that every cat who finds its way to us will be loved, safe and valued. The challenges never end…and we work to ensure every dollar generously given to us means a better life for our rescued cats.
Bella’s Promise is based in South Florida, but we have transported over 3,000 cats and kittens to northern states, where responsible pet owners and a short breeding season has created a large demand. We could provide these safe havens for even more of our rescues, but all cats must be medically approved.
This is where you are desperately needed.
Often the cats and kittens we rescue have medical needs beyond the basics, and who require extensive help. We do our best to meet those needs, and our success stories are heartwarming. They include Cordelia who survived on the streets only by eating whatever she could find, and needed surgery to remove glass, plastic and stones from her digestive system. And Kane, who was dropped off at the County shelter after surviving a sugar cane fire, and required extensive medical care and surgery to recover from his burns.
Currently, we have several cats waiting to find their forever homes, but who need surgery or additional medical care in order to qualify for transport. These include Petal, a three month old kitten needing a second suture surgery to repair a rectal prolapse; Patina, diagnosed with a grade 5 heart murmur who needs an echocardiogram; Zeva, Zeca and Zaya, three six month old kittens rescued from a mobile home park in dire conditions, all needing knee and hip surgery to be able to walk and play normally; and Pemberley, a senior kitty requiring major dental work.
These are expensive treatments, and some would walk away from these cats and kittens, but at Bella’s, a promise is a promise.
Bella’s Promise works with veterinarians who provide exceptional care at discounted levels, but the cost is often beyond our means. While we try to do the greatest good for the greatest numbers, our goal is to give every one of our rescues a chance.
Every dollar you can spare will help Bella’s Promise give these cats their best life. It will also open up additional space in foster homes so we can help rescue even more cats who have been cast aside.
Bella’s Promise relies 100 percent on the generosity of our donors and our amazing volunteers – not a single one who draws a salary. We receive no adoption fees for the cats we send north, and are grateful we can move cats into loving homes and keep our promise to the cats in our care.
Please consider donating to our medical fund so that we can provide the medical help our rescued cats need to make the journey to their forever homes.
