Bella’s Battle with Bone Cancer - Ewing Sarcoma

Donation protected
At just 14 years old, Bella is currently fighting Ewing Sarcoma - a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer.

Bella is a bright, funny and kind teenager. But she's been fighting a battle no child should have to endure.

I’m starting this fundraiser for my friend Jacque and her beautiful daughter Bella, who are facing something no family should ever have to go through.

Bella’s journey began when she was just 10 years old. For years, something wasn’t right, but her symptoms were missed and at times even dismissed with a GP even suggesting it was a way for her to avoid school. Despite this, Jacque never stopped advocating for her daughter and trusted her instincts.

Bella was eventually diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma in June 2025 at the age of 13 and has been receiving treatment at Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Before her cancer treatment could even begin, Bella had to go through IVF to collect and preserve her eggs for the future. She was incredibly scared and overwhelmed but she faced it with so much courage and hope.

Since then, Bella has endured 13 rounds of chemotherapy and 4 weeks of radiation - showing incredible strength every step of the way.

On the 11th of December last year, Bella underwent a five hour surgery to remove seven bones in her lower back, including her coccyx. It was a very high-risk procedure, as the nerves that control bowel and bladder function are in that area. We were warned she may need a colostomy bag due to the risks involved.

After surgery, Bella developed an infection in the surgical site, which required another procedure (debridement) and an additional three weeks in hospital. This also delayed her chemotherapy.

Last month they have received devastating news: doctors have found masses on Bella’s brain and lung. Bella has since undergone brain surgery and is currently waiting for results. This is an incredibly difficult and uncertain time for them all.

Despite everything she is facing, Bella continues to show incredible kindness and strength. During her time in hospital, she has formed beautiful friendships and is always thinking of others - even doing other girls’ nails and lashes to help them feel a little more like themselves. That’s the kind of friend Bella is.

This has taken a huge emotional and financial toll. Jacque had been working as a disability carer but was forced to leave her job to be by Bella’s side full time. They travel over an hour each way for treatment and without a car, Jacque has been relying on family just to get Bella to her appointments.

Jacque has done everything she possibly can to get through this privately, but the reality is that things are becoming overwhelming. The costs of travel, medical expenses, and everyday living are quickly adding up.

While we can’t take away the emotional pain they are experiencing, I’m hoping we can ease some of the financial burden.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to Jacque and Bella - helping cover travel costs, household bills and essential medical-related expenses, so Bella can focus on what matters most: her fight.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread their story.

Thank you for helping Bella keep fighting and for reminding her she’s not alone in this.
