Bella Vista Teacher's Car Stolen
Donation protected
It is difficult to work in the field of education. Employees do not receive pay that reflects how critical this role is to our communities and society. Educators are selfless and often place students' needs above their own.
Ms. Helena is a Speech and Language Pathologist. She works with children between the ages of 4 - 11 at Bella Vista Elementary School in Oakland. After a long week of work, she left on Friday afternoon only to discover that the car that she depends on to get to work had been stolen, crashed, engulfed in flames and totaled while she had been teaching.
The students depend upon Ms. Helena's support with speech, language and social communication both in and out of the classroom daily. Communication is key, and Bella Vista students need her support to achieve and thrive at school.
Please help both Ms. Helena and the 30 students that she supports by donating today. Your help will provide Ms. Helena with the means to find temporary transportation to travel between work and home.
