Bella Terra Acres is a non-profit farm in the beautiful low hills around Alachua, Florida. The Morrison family acquired this farm in 2022 to build a unique location for family, friends, and anyone else seeking to experience this beautiful 341-acre property. Activities on the farm include horseback riding, motorsports including side-by-sides, shooting, archery, hiking, hunting, fishing, or just hanging out with our friendly Red Angus cattle.

Formerly known as the Snooty Fox farm, the property has a long history. The former owners - the Cotters - were well-known in the region. The farm focused on horse breeding, and award-winners including Bellamy Road were born there. The farm also hosted the annual Snooty Fox fox hunt (see image below). The original staff still work on the property, including Patty Connoly, who has been here for over 30 years.

Bella Terra Acres will deliver unique experiences, and the Morrisons have invested considerable time and resources to improve the property. A new pond has been built and stocked with fish. Renovations are underway on the farmhouse, and the barn has undergone a significant upgrade to ensure a safe environment for the boarded horses and their owners.

Hundreds of cross-country horse jumps are on the property, reflecting its horse farm heritage. Jim, the farmhand, is clearing old tracks and reconditioning jumps. Renovations are underway on the old tree fort with new play equipment, including a slide, climbing net, and more.

We have big dreams! We want Bella Terra to host events for kids that focus on teaching skills that most kids typically don’t have - from horseback riding to archery to growing food to survival skills, art, and crafts like creating with clay, weaving baskets, fermenting and preserving food.

We want to build a cafe and magical spaces for retreats for women and families, focusing on healthy living, slowing down and returning to the roots, and re-learning how to thrive in and with nature. We also intend to practice regenerative agriculture, maintain beehives, and plant as many fruit trees as possible. We will continue to build, build, build, including more accommodation, a campground, cabins, another playground, and riding/running tracks - but we need your help!

As a non-profit organization, Bella Terra Acres relies on donations from family and friends. Your donation will help us beautify and expand Bella Terra Acres. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
