Help Bella fight Osteosarcoma

On June 22nd our family's world turned upside down. We received the news no pet owner wants to ever get about their fur baby. We were told that our 7 year old rottie, Bella, has cancer. What our vet initially thought was a torn ligament in Bella's leg causing her to limp was soon identified as Osteosarcoma, also known as an aggressive bone cancer, in her leg. This news instantly changed everything. What we thought was going to be a quick surgery with recovery time and lots of loving turned into an ultimate battle for Bella.
Anyone who has a pet can agree that their fur babies are OUR babies and they are members of the family. Bella has been a member of our family since she was a pup and over the last 7 years she has grown up with our 3 children. Rottie's often are assumed to be a dangerous breed. But our Bella is the farthest thing from that. Anyone who has ever met Bella knows she is the SWEETEST girl who gives nothing but so much love to everyone and is the absolute BEST dog to children. She is our children's best friend and our baby. And we will do whatever we can to give her the long healthy life she deserves.
Bella's diagnosis requires an aggressive treatment plan that is time sensitive. Everyone knows when it comes to cancer, time is not our friend. In Western New York we are extremely limited when it comes to Oncology and new treatment plans for animals. Thankfully, we have been able to locate an Oncologist in PA that is willing to work alongside our vet in providing Bella with an immunotherapy that has a high success rate given we move forward in treatment promptly. This treatment does involve amputation of her leg where the cancer is before beginning the immunotherapy. Bella has already received numerous tests and xrays that have added up quickly in cost. With the oncologist being located in PA, it is 6.5hrs away from us and to ensure Bella gets the best care, we will need to travel to that distance for a portion of Bella's treatment. By having the Oncologist working along side our vet, we were able to substantially drop the costs of her treatment. However, her treatment plan is still going to be approximately $8,000. As a family with 3 children, this is not an easy amount to quickly gather despite time being of the essence. With that being said, we are asking for help in any way in fighting this battle for our sweet Bella.
