SHE WAS GONE… AND NOW SHE’S BACK — BUT BARELY HOLDING ON
Back in 2024, I stepped in to help 18 cats from Late Gail’s estate after she sadly passed away.
Instead of being cared for… her children threw them all outside.
Just like that.
Left to survive.
Left confused.
Left with no one.
Some were even given away for free on Facebook…taken by the wrong people, for the wrong reasons.
Others faced far worse.
Some of her siblings were killed, poisoned, taken, and trapped…and never seen again.
To this day, many are still unaccounted for.
Some I have had to bury.
Some are still here with me… waiting for the forever homes they were always meant to have.
Since then, I have worked tirelessly to rescue as many as I could.
Many are now safe in care… but there are still three unaccounted for, missing somewhere, trapped in that same cycle.
And then there was Bell.
Bell went missing not long after everything happened.
We searched, we hoped… but eventually we feared the worst.
We thought she didn’t make it.
Until yesterday.
I heard crying under a car…I called her name……and she answered.
After all this time… she remembered.
But she is in a devastating condition.
Bell is severely underweight
Her spine is prominent
Her body is covered in fleas
Her stomach is full of worms
Someone had returned and dumped her back in this state.
I have treated her immediately, but this is only the beginning.
Bell now urgently needs:
• A full vet check
• Vaccination
• Microchipping
• Ongoing treatment
• Safe boarding while I secure her future
Right now, she is being kept in my shower because I simply have no space left.
If I cannot secure support for her care, I may be forced to put her back outside… and I cannot bear the thought of that after everything she has endured.
Bell deserves better. They all did.
Please, if you can, contribute to her care.
Every dollar goes directly toward giving her the second chance she was almost denied.
If you haven’t been following Gail’s story, please head to my Facebook or Instagram and search Gail New to see everything that has happened.
Thank you to everyone who continues to stand by these cats and support this rescue. I truly cannot do this without you.
