My name is Belinda, and I’ve been fighting pancreatic cancer since June 6, 2025. In the past six months, I’ve completed 12 rounds of intense chemotherapy, endured multiple hospitalizations, and tried to hold onto as much normal life as possible. Now, I’m preparing for the next part of this journey: radiation treatment, recovery from radiation, major Whipple surgery, and then the long healing process that follows.

I’ve been out of work for six months due to treatment. I was blessed to receive two catastrophic leave donations from coworkers, which gave me two much-needed paychecks. But outside of those, I have had no income. Because I work for the county, I do not qualify for unemployment, and I’ve been denied nearly all assistance programs due to having a small retirement fund, a fund I have had to drain just to survive these six months. I still have several more months ahead of me before I’m medically cleared to return to work. I’m doing everything I can to get back on my feet, back to my job, and back to my life, but right now, I’m overwhelmed by the most basic bills: rent, utilities, groceries, and medical-related expenses.

I am humbly asking for help to get me through this next phase of treatment and recovery. Every donation, no matter the amount, goes directly toward my living expenses while I’m unable to work.
