B gets top surgery!

Hello! I'm B/Belinda (they/them). After waiting 2.5years, I'm finally getting top surgery in September! My chest is a piece of me that has always given me a lot of dysphoria so I can't put into words how much joy it brings me to have this surgery booked.

I'm here because I am self-employed and due to the nature of my job as a chiropractor, I will have to be fully healed before returning to work. The recovery time is 4-6weeks and I will be taking 4 weeks. Some of you may already know but life has been a bit bananas for me this year and has left me with little savings and more monthly expenses. Though I am privileged enough to have a full time job that covers my basic needs while I'm working, there is a lot of financial stress around taking an extended period of time off.

This GoFundMe is not meant to cover the full cost of my leave but to help ease some of the stresses related to it so that I can focus on my recovery and allow myself to extend my time off if needed. I want to be able to return to work knowing confidently that I will not be causing harm to myself, and that I can continue to provide the same quality treatments and support as I have always done.
