Belinda was diagnosed with an aggressive form of endometrial cancer in May 2024. As with everything in life, she faced the months that followed with her usual grace, determination and strength. Her doctors were continually amazed by the way she recovered from major surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
It was a shock when we were told that the cancer had returned in December 2025. On 31 December she began immunotherapy treatment — still very new and experimental for endometrial cancer.
While doctors continue to learn how best to use and manage this treatment, Belinda approached it with the same courage and resilience she had shown throughout her illness.
Sadly, although some patients are blessed with up to 18 months with immunotherapy, Bee’s time was much shorter. Our hope is that ongoing research will mean many more women and their families will benefit from these advances in the future.
