Help Willie's fight with Multiple Myeloma Cancer

Willie through this tough journey has extended this old fundraiser to provide you with financial support while Willie receives ongoing treatment for his multiple myeloma cancer. For those who do not know his details of medical journey thus far... during January 2024 after months of undiagnosed back pain and fatigue, Willie was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Some blood work showed he was on the verge of kidney failure. He was immediately hospitalized and further exploration and testing revealed the multiple myeloma as it had not spread elsewhere. Multiple myeloma is a form of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. Early on, multiple myeloma may not cause any symptoms and may go undiagnosed until the cancer has progressed to cause severe bone pain, fatigue, anemia, kidney problems, infection and fractures.

He had surgery on his lower back due to broken disk L2 and L4.

Willie is currently at home and undergoing aggressive twice weekly treatment. He has completed several rounds of chemotherapy. He currently working a targeted treatments, likely in the coming months once chemotherapy is done.

The prognosis for multiple myeloma varies depending on several factors. There is no cure for multiple myeloma, but treatments can help manage the symptoms and extend life expectancy. Research is ongoing to develop new and more effective treatments for multiple myeloma.

His primary day to day focus needs to be on his push through to remission and overall wellness, not the stress of financial survival.

Those who know Willie, know he is a fighter. He is one of the strongest, hardest working and giving people on the planet. In September of 2023 through an unfortunate incident life took a dramatic change.

Since in January 2024 ongoing life expenses and medical bills have not stopped.

Unfortunately, not working he humbly ask for assistance through agencies, family, friends.

There is so much more to tell about this amazing human that is now unexpectedly forced to limit activities and remain focused on regimented treatment for the foreseeable future. No one plans for this turn of events, financially or otherwise. Now seems like just the time to give back and help Willie and his family have financial peace of mind during this challenging
