I am: a son, brother, college graduate, small business owner, and most importantly a future cancer survivor.
Two weeks ago I started experiencing symptoms and 48 hours later a massive tumor was discovered in my chest. X-rays and CT scans revealed the mass was covering my lungs and extending to my neck, where numerous cancerous lymph nodes were also found. I have since been diagnosed with stage III Hodgekin's Lymphoma.
When I was 12 my older sister was also diagnosed with Hodgekin's Lymphoma, I sat helpless as I saw a perfectly normal 14 year old girl broken down by chemotherapy, endless nights in the hospital, and surgeries.
During my college years I developed a great interest in documentaries and later obtained a degree in filmmaking. I stumbled upon a documentary which dealt with both proven natural cures as well as cutting edge treatments being used around the world with great success. After further research I swore that I would never let anyone go through debilitating treatments without atleast attempting to share what I learned.
What I will be raising money for through this campaign is funding my travel and medical expenses to The Gerson Institute for treatment over the course of 3 weeks- 2 months. (This therapy is not covered by any insurance.)
As an owner of a Video production company, I will be allocating all of my resources and equipment to documenting my journey, so that others can see that there are options to heal the body through natural means. I hope to use this full-length documentary to open the eyes of anyone who is/has/or will be affected by cancer. Even if only one person is helped by this effort, it will be a success in my heart.
