Bela is our school counselor at our bilingual elementary school.  Our school has a high number of students that have suffered trauma or come from poverty, and she is an essential and much loved member of our team of support for our most needy kids.  Her bilingualism, big heart and positive nature provides socio-emotional and mental health support for hundreds of students that might not have that resource in their home lives.  She is a treasure for students.  
Bela was diagnosed with Stage 4 gastro-intestinal cancer and has a long journey of treatment ahead of her.  She is a recent transplant from Houston, so her support system of family and friends is long distant. She is the sole provider of her 9 year old daughter, Becka.  With mounting co-pays and deductibles, plus loss of income due to leave time, her ability to provide for her single parent household has become strained, and her social capitol resources are limited as well.  We as a school community are rallying for her support, but being a small school, we need your help!   Please help us provide for her basic needs such as rent, utilities, transportation, medical bills, and groceries as she fights her battle with this serious disease.  Her students miss her, and her daughter needs her!
