Believe Big: Another Struggle to Overcome
Donation protected
My sister Christine needs some support.
In 2019 she was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma or extrahepatic bile duct cancer. This is a very rare cancer. She was very fortunate, and they removed the tumor and eventually, life got back on track again. Before this, in 2014, she almost died of an aneurysm in her ascending aorta and had open heart surgery. Both surgeries occurred while raising her two wonderful daughters, Lexi and Brooke as a single mother.
She fought through a tough recovery and was back to a productive life after both surgeries. Now, four years later after her first diagnosis of Cholangiocarcinoma and surgery, a recurrence of the same type of cancer has come back. There are very few if any proven treatments for this type of cancer. Right now, unfortunately, surgery is not an option for her.
To overcome this next life obstacle, she has decided to go down the path of treatment provided by Humanizing Medicine in Decatur, Georgia. This starts on April 10th. I am hopeful that this path will provide her with what's needed to continue to live a healthy life and watch her 2 daughters continue to grow into the wonderful young women they have become.
She will use whatever donations that are provided to defray the cost of her cancer treatment. If you are not inclined to donate, I understand, please send her your positive thoughts as they will go a long way as well. Thanks for your generosity.
