I am writing this on behalf of a wonderful mother and person. Open your heart to Helen, a single mother, who has spent her life caring for her son and parents. She is battling for her life in a time where her son needs her most. Helen left her only son with her parents in the Philippines while he was only a toddler. She went to find a job abroad to ensure he could have a good life and grow up well.  She has been the sole support for both her parents and her son for 17 years.  Last year, Helen's mother sadly died of cancer, leaving her son, Lionel, alone with his ailing grandfather.


Helen was my maid for 16 years. Last year I returned to the United States and at the time, I asked Helen, “Are you ready to return to the Philippines?" She replied, “I need to work abroad at least three more years to help my son finish college.” Helen continued to work under a friend of mine after I left but last month she was suddenly diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer.
 

Please donate to help Helen with her medical bills and to ensure her son can finish college and that Helen can be there to see it. Helen deserves to see her son graduate from college. She deserves to be able to help raise her grandchildren. Any amount of money would be greatly appreciated and all of it will go to Helen for treatment and living expenses. Thank you all.
