My NICS work charity is Brainwaves NI, a few of the Bangorians will know that’s a charity close to my heart!

My mate Claire was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumour in October 2023 and this charity have been an amazing support to her and her family over the last 18 months.

Brainwaves NI is Northern Ireland’s only volunteer led brain tumours research and support charity. Not only do they support people with brain tumours and their families and carers but they also fund vital research at the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer research at Queen’s University Belfast paying for three PHD students to research brain tumours.

They receive no government funding and rely 100% on donations.
