Bek's Battle with Cancer

At a cancer center, ringing the bell signifies the completion of a patient’s cancer treatment for now, marking a milestone of overcoming a difficult journey and celebrating their accomplishment in finishing that therapy; it is often seen as a symbol of relief, hope, and perseverance through the challenges of treatment.

Symbolic meaning:The bell represents the end of a challenging treatment phase, signifying a sense of victory and moving towards recovery.

Oct 1st Rebecca Riley was diagnosed with cervical cancer & scheduled for a Radical hysterectomy. After some pre-op tests, she was informed that cancer was more advanced than 1st thought & could not have Hysterectomy. Currently she is taking Chemo, Radiation, and another Radiation called Brachy. These therapies continue & may involve future surgery. Treatments take all 5 days a week & Rebecca must travel regularly from Fulton to Corinth, Tupelo, & Jackson, MS for multiple Dr appts & the 3 therapies… that with side effects makes it impossible for Rebecca to work. While Rebecca was responsible enough to take out Term Disabilities, Critical Care, & Hospitalization Insurances, it in no way covers all Medical & necessary / basic living expenses.
