Hi my name is Bekka and I’m trying to have a baby. The only way I can get pregnant is through IVF. I was diagnosed with infertility in my early 30s due to damaged fallopian tubes. The damage was likely caused by undiagnosed endometriosis. Since then I have had surgeries to remove endo lesions and endometriomas as well as clamp the damaged tubes to improve the odds of successful implantation.

I have had two rounds of egg retrieval and fertilisation. The first round ended with no viable embryos due to contamination. The second round resulted in two high quality embryos, the first of which did not implant after transfer. In the summer of 2026 I successfully became pregnant, but the pregnancy sadly ended in miscarriage at 12 weeks.

The process has been difficult, but I am not discouraged. I want to try for a third and final round of IVF, but as a single woman I am not eligible for NHS treatment and need to come up with additional funds to cover the expense of the egg retrieval, fertilisation and storage.
