The goal of this fundraiser is to help damaged businesses - SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) stand and rise again by participating in the reopening of their businesses and hence, support their families after being impacted by the massive explosion in Beirut.

The damages on the ground have been assessed to be in the Billions of USD. During this difficult time, all kind of support is valued and needed.

The most damaged area is the East of Beirut, an enchanting area with plenty of coffee shops, high quality restaurants, bars ... well known for entertainment. 10 days passed from the massive explosion and most of these businesses are still closed.

Help us revive this area, reopen the damaged businesses and bring hope to impacted ones.

What's happening?

On 4th August 2020, a massive explosion hits the port of Beirut in Lebanon, resulting in hundreds confirmed dead, 5000 injuries and around 300,000 without homes.

It has been 10 days now. Affected people, the ones who fortunately survived, are assessing their losses and trying to overcome the caused damages, even though they are in despair.

Who are we targeting?

The blast has damaged half of Beirut city, mainly the East Beirut’s most popular neighborhoods and enchanting areas filled with small shops, high quality restaurants, attractive bars & touristic boutiques …

Affected people have lost their homes and their businesses – their source of income and their lifetime earnings.

Another way to support this cause is to help rebuild their businesses quickly.


After discussing with this brave lady, she has been injured by the explosion but refused to leave her grocery shop because she couldn’t risk losing it. Her front door and vitrine were destroyed and she sleeps at her grocery to protect her shop from thieves.  A small gesture can bring some relief.



A coffee shop in a secondary street of Mar Mikhael “Caffeine Beirut”, recently open and was surviving the economic crisis. The owner lost his business in which he invested his earnings – Insurance wouldn’t recognize the loss considering the blast came out from a massive explosion.
A fund will help him renovate his coffee shop and will allow him rise again.

The goal of this campaign is to help damaged SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) get back on their feet, participate in the reopening of their businesses and hence, support their families.

Hopefully, with your donations, the collected fund will allow, not only help survive this dramatic tragedy but will also bring as little as hope to those who got affected by the blast.

Who are we?

We are a group of Lebanese community living abroad. We are acting in our individual capacity by organizing this fundraiser. 

We are looking forward in helping our beloved country rise again and build a better future.

How can we ensure the money will be received by the SMEs?

The SMEs will share a confirmation with us that the funds have been received, which we will post on our GoFundMe’s main page for transparency.

The collected fund will be distributed to as many businesses as possible, helping them procure needed materials for the restauration of their facilities.

A “Before” picture will be posted and we will try to share an “After” picture in order to sense the positive impact of the donations.
