In August 2025, a group of fifteen adventurous Dutch men and women, led by Thijmen Apswoude, will head into the rugged wilderness of Canada to live primitively in the wild for two months. They will build their shelters from materials found in the forest, wear handmade clothing crafted from animal hides, and survive on the food nature provides. After years of preparation, this has become more than just the ultimate test of their survival skills — it is a courageous attempt to reconnect, as modern humans, with nature on a profound level.
