Being Shelly's Angels

Hi, my name is Jacqui and I'm fundraising for one of my dearest friends, Shelly. For the past 12 years that I've been lucky enough to call her my friend, I've seen Shelly drop everything time and again to answer calls for help from people or animals who need her. I remember freezing, snowy nights when Shelly rushed to help another animal rescuer dig out cat shelters buried in a storm. I've seen her work through the night to complete costumes for a beloved play, and I've watched her create something out of nothing to support a fellow artist.

Now Shelly can use our help.

A few years ago Shelly found a bullet hole in her car and had to pay out of pocket for repairs.

In October 2022 - after working all day and night at GRASP's "Painted Paws" event - Shelly's beautiful car was stolen. Again, Shelly had to pay out of pocket to purchase another car as - even when it was recovered - it couldn't be salvaged.

And then, a month ago, Shelly's new car was broken into at work. Once again she has had out-of-pocket expenses to repair the enormous damage. Shelly has had to pay for a car rental while waiting for repairs, which has put a huge strain on her financially.

I'd love to invite you to give her a hand up while she recovers from these awful losses.

I'm hoping to raise $5000 to provide a bit of a safety net for her.
