Director’s Note:
I think what I’m most excited for is what I will learn about myself in making this. I’ve only just recently been able to put myself out there in my art and I really hope that people can connect to the feelings that my characters have. People just want to be heard, accepted, and to be loved. We can put so much on ourselves that we aren’t able to see or hear the good things that are all around us. The main takeaway from this short, and hopefully in the larger film to come, is that we all have experienced loss of loved ones and friends, but that there are things to keep learning, discovering, and experiencing that make life a beautiful thing to be around for.
Lead Actress Note:
Leanne Hoag is an actress and student in her fourth year at Grand Valley State University. She is planning on graduating in December 2021 with a Hospitality and Tourism Management degree. She has been in multiple theatre productions at Grand Valley including: Cabaret, The Jungle Book, and Almost Maine. Leanne is passionate about telling an authentic story through acting and loves to connect and portray different lives and emotions on screen and on stage.
Lead Actor Note:
Ben Hendrickson is a video editor and photographer in Midland Michigan. Creating and editing media has been Ben's passion since he was eleven. Ben is currently going to Delta College to further develop his skills. Ben is familiar with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. He thinks outside of the box to create professional pieces.
