More information about Boston Health Care for the Homeless: Since its founding in 1985, Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP) has been driven by a simple, yet powerful mission - to provide and assure access to the highest quality healthcare for Boston's homeless population. BHCHP is committed to caring for the sick and poor as they face daily threats to their health and an increased exposure to illness, injury, trauma, and disease.

The mission of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP) is to ensure unconditionally equitable and dignified access to the highest quality health care for all individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community.
For the people BHCHP serves, the barriers to consistent, accessible, and integrated health care are immense. The urgency of meeting their basic survival needs and the chaotic nature of their daily lives often supersedes their health care needs. Fractured access to integrated health care drives the striking health disparities this population endures, and BHCHP is committed to bringing comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality continuity of care in places where homeless individuals and families are—within shelters, on the streets, and in our respite and hospital settings.

The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the need for telehealth as an invaluable tool in providing continuity of care, including critical behavioral and mental health services, to engage people experiencing homelessness in a continuous and trusted source of health care.
The proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards supporting technology needs for BHCHP's Behavioral and Mental Health Team to increase access to care. Your support will have a deep and lasting impact on BHCHP’s efforts to bring high quality, accessible and responsive continuity of care to people experiencing homelessness in Boston.
