Help John with Medical Expenses

Update: The first surgery had a way better outcome than what we expected. He ended up loosing 2 toes and a small portion of the foot. He has since had one more surgery to close the opening they left and he was sent home! We are all so incredibly grateful for everyones continued support, and prayers.

3 years ago John developed an ulcer on the bottom of his foot which turned into an infection. With diabetes, his body is not able to heal correctly and he struggled for a long time to get this closed up. It started to look better up until a few months ago when he discovered the infection spread to other parts of his foot.

He went to the wound care facility a few days ago where they immediately sent him to the hospital. After a few scans they discovered the infection made it to the bone and he just received surgery to cut off a majority of the front half of his foot. He is being monitored in the hospital while receiving high doses of antibiotics to hopefully kill the remaining infection. If this does not go away they will be amputating his leg to just below the knee.

For work john is on his feet all day, so he will not be able to work for the foreseeable future making it difficult to pay both his normal bills and ever growing medical bills. We are setting up this go fund me to hopefully help relieve that burden so he can focus on healing.
