We need your help. I coach a group of 9 amazing middle school kids that won 2nd place at the Utah State Championship and have earned an opportunity to compete at the American Robotics Invitational on May 18th and 19th. We have already raised over $10,000 and expect to raise about $5,000 more. We need your help to close a $10,000 gap and reduce the financial load on the kids.

Not only are BeeSTAR amazing competitors, but they change the world with over 602 hours of community service. This includes mentoring 5 FIRST Lego League teams in grade school, helping Channing Hall Lego League team build and prepare for competition, and demonstrating robotics to kids at FanX, STEM Fest, and STEM Expo, to just name a few.

These kids probably never would have hung out together because their interests are so different and there are so many excuses/barriers, especially in middle school. In learning to build a robot and invent a paintbrush for people with Parkinson's disease, they actually built themselves through hard work, learning from failures, and building trust with each other. They also give back to the community through coach's training, outreach to show off STEM at events, and even demonstrating their robot on the capital rotunda for legislators.

In coaching, I got to watch them grow together. They found joy in their work and built an autonomous robot and invented a potential way to paint with tremors. This joy led them to seek the hard work that led them to be recognized with 2nd place overall in the FIRST Lego League Utah Championship. In recognition of their win, they were given a berth to the international American Robotics Invitational in New Jersey!

Any donation you give gets these kids closer to New Jersey. We appreciate our sponsors, which includes you! Thank you - from the team - and from a coach that gets to witness how great the next generation will be.
