Donation protected
Longtime resident of our block, Stanley Gwyn, lost everything in a fire Friday evening. It appears the building was without heat and tenants were provided with space heaters, one of which likely caused the blaze. This was an "all hands fire" with at least four trucks and countless NYFD and FD EMS working to extinguish the fire and secure the safety of the residents.
We are so grateful to those first responders and that everyone seems to be ok physically.
You know Stanley as the former super of his building, always out front tidying up and making sure things were taken care of. Stanley is starting from scratch. We want to help our neighbor make sure he has what he needs to get back on his feet. Anything you can give is appreciated.
