Bed Rest for Katey (and Baby)!

Hello Friends and Family of Katelyn!

 

Katey is 26 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. We are all very excited to meet and love him sometime in January 2022.

 

At her latest appointment, Katey's obstetrician determined that her amniotic fluid levels are unusually low and has prescribed bed rest, which Katey started on September 29th (she is HATING it). While her condition doesn't constitute an emergency, it does prevent her from working until the doctor gives her the okay to resume work. Moreover, Katey has a follow-up appointment on the mainland with a specialist (perinatologist, to be exact) in early November. She will likely need to stay overnight there due to ferry scheduling and to stay well-rested.

 

We set the goal for this fundraiser at $6,000, figuring that she would need around $1,500 a month for rent, food, bills, etc. All financial assistance is greatly needed and appreciated. In the event that the fundraising goal is surpassed, excess funds will be used to buy all the baby paraphernalia.
