After years of faithful service, my platform bed has given up the ghost and succumbed to being moved from house to house many more times than it was designed to be.

Due to chronic pain issues that are worst when waking up, having a high bed is a good investment in my quality of life. I can live without it! This is by no means an emergency. But that's exactly why I've decided I can do without it for a while to try and get help to offset the cost of replacing it.

If you would like to help me reach that replacement faster, I am very, very grateful! But I cannot stress enough that this is not a true emergency. It simply chose to break at a bad time. As many of you know, I exhausted pretty much all my personal funds on two animal emergencies since November, the last in late February. I had finally gotten back on my feet and spent a few days with a friend from out of town and tragedy struck when I laid down to sleep and promptly found myself delivered, as if via waterslide, back to the cold and unforgiving floor. Very rude!

So, please be secure that the bed will be replaced either way, and ASAP, but due to bad timing and a huge pile of backlogged work I'm working my way through right now (and nearly done with!), I am making this to help it along.
