Hi, my name is Joshua Gilyard and I am an actor and an independent filmmaker. I am fundraising to get a biopic film of James Baldwin produced where I will play James Baldwin.
This project is important to me because I believe that it is time that society really knew how much impact Baldwin had on history. Baldwin was prolific, civil rights revolutionist and his story deserves to be told.
This project is going to require time and energy and I want to make sure the people behind the scenes are compensated. The funds will be utilize for making sure this film is shot at high quality and also making sure those in front and behind the camera receive compensation as well. This includes wardrobe, make up/hair, and locations
