Becoming An Animal Activist Series
Donation protected
Are you wanting to go into the work of animal welfare? Do you want to make a donation to an animal sanctuary or rescue but don't know to how to chose one? Thinking about visitng a zoo or animal sanctuary? The internet is FULL of conflicting information and it can be confusing. Why are sanctuaries that let you handle baby tiger cubs actually bad for the animals?
The intention of this project is to create educational content and videos, full of information to help you make the best choices, that best benefit animals.
Let us be the voice for animals.
In the beginning of 2018 I decided to volunteer all of my time at as many animals shelters and rescues as possible and do a little research about how to become an animal activist. I had no idea what I would discover and how it has changed my life forever.
While doing research for "Becoming An Animal Activist," video series, I've discovered horrible information about animal cruelty, endangered species, farm factory abuse, trophy hunting, canned hunting, poaching, on and on, that I can't ignore for an other day. I decided that my video project needed to be much louder and bigger. Here we are.
I have so many questions: What is an animal activist? What is animal welfare? Do you need to be vegan or vegetarian to be an animal activist? Are zoos bad for animals? What is an animal rescue/sanctuary? And so many more. This opened up a big can of worms for me, full of opinions and politics.
I figured the best way to find out the answers would be to hit the road with my video camera, visit sanctuaries, shelters, rescues, zoos, meet the animals and get their stories, interview those working in the field of animal welfare/activism, the owners/staff/volunteers running and operating the sanctuaries, rescues, zoos, etc.
I have already confirmed and been in contact with Big Cat Rescue (Tampa, FL), Lanai Cat Sanctuary (HI), Animal Tracks (SoCal), and fingers crossed, Esther the Wonder Pig and Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary , Lions, Tigers, & Bears (San Diego). Throughout this process I will adding more visits as possible to the list. I will keep you posted!
There is a list of other sancturaies and shelters that I will be vising and including in this project right here in the Bay Area. Road trip!
During these visits I have challenged the organizations to put me to work and get me dirty with chores. This should be highly entertaining and educational.
Intentions and goals:
Awareness
Education
Promote and highlight animal heroes
Get more people involved with animal welfare
Fundraising
Your donations will make it possible for this project to happen!
Additional video equipment to make the video content as professional and appealing as possible
Video editor
If you do not feel comfortable donating this my campaing, PLEASE make a donation or volunteer at a local shelter in your area, or chose your favorit animal rescue, sanctuary, or shelter!
In a world gone mad, crazy political times right now, and a government working AGAINST ANIMAL RIGHTS, I feel like it is really important to do something that feels good and that will have a positive outcome for animals now, and generations to come. The animals need us to fight for them right now, more than ever!
I realize I am just one voice, but my voice plus your voice, we can make a change for animals world wide.

Donate anything you can, every dollar counts. And if making a donation isn't possible please share on all of your social media.
