We're reaching out to our friends, our community, and pizza lovers anywhere to help us build a fantastic pizza dining experience in Nye, Montana.

Every spring, as we're anxiously waiting for warm summer days to return out here in Nye, the four of us at the Nye Trading Post start planning ahead for the imminent busy season and we discuss how to make the most of it. We share lots of ideas with each other as we seek new directions that we can grow - directions that we feel are exciting, worthwhile, and - most importantly - bring something fresh and fun to our community and our seasonal visitors.

Last year - in the spring of 2024 - the one thing we kept discussing was PIZZA and a cool place to hang out and enjoy it. So, we made plans, crafted some good recipes, put up a tent by the road, and officially established Nye Pie - great pizza and a cool spot to hang out right next to the Nye Trading Post. Despite only being open for a few hours - for only two days a week - Nye Pie immediately began to draw in crowds with some people insisting that we were serving THE BEST pizza they had ever tasted. We've had people asking us all winter when our pizza will be back and we're excited to get back to it.

This year, we're starting our spring eager to expand Nye Pie.

While there are loads of great ideas we have in mind for our pizza shop, we think that our first step is to put down a real structure to work out of - a larger space than the tent we used last year and solid walls that won't try to blow away. From there we can have more ingredients, keep things fresher for longer, experiment with new things we can offer on our menu, and keep serving food even in unfavorable weather. In the future, this building will help us continue to expand Nye Pie further and explore our other many ideas for it.

We've spent the winter drawing plans, making models, and talking to the right people to make this happen and it's all set. We're at the point where we're ready to go - everything is greenlit and we can start pouring the foundation at any moment. Its at this point that we've decided to reach out and invite all of you to become a part of this.

Nye is our home. We're here ~360 days out of the year to keep the Nye Trading Post open to our locals, visitors on their own adventures, and especially all of our miners at the Sibanye-Stillwater Mine. This winter, Sibanye-Stillwater laid-off a very large portion of their workers and contractors that we've been grateful to have patronize our store for the many years we've been here.

With the absense of the miners coupled with rising costs of running a convenience store business as well, putting this building together will absolutely be a challenge for us. Despite that, we'd love to see it happen and we know that it will continue to provide an awesome experience to the community. With your help, we can continue with our plan more confidently, push forward with the building faster, and possibly see it come together better than we ever imagined.

Donations will primarily be used for construction costs of building our new structure. The listed goal is the estimate we were provided for the full construction of the structure itself but ultimately this is an estimation and a portion of this is already funded. If we were to raise more money than needed for the construction, the extra funds will likely be put into things like better appliances and equipment inside of the kitchen, amenities for customers outside of the building - such as tables, awnings, TVs/speakers for music, further development of the property around the building, merchandise (T-shirts, etc), funding events hosted by Nye Pie, and similar things.

As always, we are tremendously grateful to our community and our friends and we really appreciate any help at all. We're very happy and eager to continue to help people have great times and great food here in Nye.
