Project Black Belt HQ – Building the Future of Martial Arts in North Lincolnshire
My name is Andrew Banks, and I am the Founder and Head Instructor of Koku-Ryu Martial Arts (established 2007).
For years, Martial Arts in North Lincolnshire has been more than just training.
It has been confidence built.
Friendships formed.
Discipline developed.
Lives empowered.
Now, we are ready to take the next step.
We are expanding into a larger training facility, a space that will allow us to run more classes, improve spectator areas for parents, host larger events, and provide the environment our students truly deserve.
This move is about growth.
It’s about creating a long-term home for our Martial Arts community.
It’s about building something that will serve local families for years to come.
Our Goal
We are raising £3,000 to help with the initial setup of our new HQ, including:
• Training mat installation
• Essential fit-out costs
• Safety improvements
• Preparing the space for student use
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us move one step closer to opening the doors to this new chapter.
Why This Matters
This new facility will allow us to:
• Deliver more structured and age-specific classes
• Create dedicated training areas
• Improve parent viewing space
• Host larger seminars and community events
• Continue empowering lives through Martial Arts excellence
This is not about staying afloat.
It is about growing stronger as a community.
It is about building something sustainable.
It is about legacy.
If you believe in what we do and the positive impact Martial Arts has on young people and families in our area, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.
Together, we can build the next chapter.
