On Father's Day, June 16, 2019, Becky suffered from a Hemorrhagic stroke in her home in Lake Forest, CA. She was rushed to the hospital where she underwent a series of scans and tests, and brain surgery. In brain surgery, they were able to remove the blood clot on her brain as well as the majority of what looked like abnormal tissue. They sent the tissue to be tested immediately. She recovered remarkably after surgery, and was even shocking the doctors and nurses.
Fast forward, five weeks after her surgery we were notified that the tissue the was biospied was a Glioblastoma Multiforme, which is stage 4 brain cancer.
Upon her most recent MRI, her cancer has spread since her surgery. So she has recently started her chemotherapy at home and will soon start her 5 week radiation treatment. She is surrounded with so much love and care from her sister (Ruth), son (Michael) , and her two daughters (Sarah and Rachel). Becky's morale is high and feels very grateful for all the love she is surrounded by. However she struggles daily with depth perception, word association, and memory.
We wanted to make this gofundme to notify our dear friends and family of her progress. As well as, provide financial support for her with medical bills, mortgage payments, house utilities, groceries, etc. We would greatly appreciate your prayers, thoughts, and financial support.
