*In June 2013, I had a hysterectomy to remove an enlarged cervix and large fibroid on top of the cervix which was starting to interfere with my kidneys. Unfortunately, during the robotic surgery, several vital organs were damaged including my bladder. More than a year later, I’m still receiving treatment to repair the damage and have lost 52 pounds as some of the organ damage has left me unable to absorb any nutrition or move food through my body. In early 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer which metastased to the left hip bone. I underwent a double mastectomy and am currently working with eight specialists to treat both the vital organ damage and the cancer diagnosis. Despite all this, I am hopeful and am reminded that every day is a blessing!
I've worked hard my whole life to take care of myself and loved ones, however the ongoing and increasing medical care costs are more than I can afford. Lately, it seems like life has handed me a basket full of lemons. I'm trying to make lemonade out of it but even selling gallons from a cute little stand on a busy corner just wouldn't be enough to pay the bills. I humbly ask for your support in helping me fight this battle. Any donation you could consider would be gratefully appreciated.
