Hello friends, you may or may not know Becky Tanouye or you may know her as Bec. She needs our help.

On October 22nd, she walked into her Doctor’s office for a follow up appointment for her newly diagnosed heart condition, CHF (congestive heart failure). At that appointment her condition took a devastating turn.

On November 4th she had to undergo an amputation of her left leg above the knee followed by another amputation on November 8th of her right leg above the knee. Those extreme measures were taken to save her life.

She spent 24 days in the hospital and is currently in a skilled nursing rehabilitation facility learning to adjust to her new normal.

Here’s how you can help. Becky has over 25 years of experience in project management in commercial property and wishes to continue her unblemished career. There are many expenses which come with living as a double amputee. To start, we are raising money to enable her to do simple things which will help her day to day.

Becky is facing an urgent remodel to her home starting with her bathroom to meet handicap standards such as increasing floor space for a wheelchair, modifying her shower, adding grab bars and controls to meet American Disability Act (ADA) requirements.

Becky is also seeking to purchase lifting units so that she can transfer herself from the wheelchair to and from the bed.

I know her dream is to try to lead a normal life as soon possible, moving about in her home, continue working, and supporting her family by cooking great meals.
