Help Us Help Becky (Rebecca Pauley) in Her Second Battle Against Cancer

Life has thrown more than its fair share of challenges at Becky, but if you know her, you know she’s a fighter with a heart full of strength, hope, and love. Grammy (as my kids call her) never asks for anything. She was determined not to ask for help even now, but finally, with her approval, we agreed to set up this GoFundMe.

Roughly 6 years ago, she bravely faced and overcame breast cancer. With courage, resilience, and the support of her loved ones, she came through that battle stronger than ever. But now, she’s facing an even more difficult fight—a second cancer diagnosis. This time it’s lung cancer (also affecting a lymph node).

No one should have to fight cancer once, let alone twice. And yet here she is—still standing, still smiling, still showing up for all of us. Becky continues to even volunteer her extra hours at a local animal rescue. She’s kind and caring and truly deserves this.

This diagnosis has brought with it not just emotional and physical burdens, but financial stress as well. Between treatments (4 rounds of chemo), medications, time away from work, and everyday living expenses, the costs are adding up quickly. She’s already reached $210,000+ in medical debt. Thank God for insurance, but even with that, she’ll have to pay at least $10,000 out of pocket. Our goal is to help lighten that load so she can focus on what truly matters: healing.

Becky will go for a PET scan in 2-3 weeks to see if the chemo shrunk some of the cancer. If it did as it was supposed to, they can hopefully remove whatever is left. I will continue to update this post as we continue to find out more.
