We are the daughters of beck Becky Bliss, we know this time is hard for everyone. Life is like a roller coaster, ups, downs, twists and turns. We all have our own white knuckle ride. Our mom always taught us to find the lesson in every trial and the joy in every blessing. We've watched that in her actions in her life and have learned to follow her example in ours.
However she has recently encountered a major twist that none of us were prepared for. She has a disease called Fuchs Dystrophy. Every night she is scared to go to sleep because every morning she is unable to see.
"Fuchs' dystrophy is an eye disease that affects the cornea. Epithelial tissue in the cornea helps keep vision clear. Fuchs' dystrophy can cause the cells in this tissue -- the endothelium -- begin to die. As a build-up of fluids increases because of this degeneration, the cornea swells and vision becomes cloudy." The doctor said if she waits on this she will lose almost all of her vision by next year.
This disease is very rare and is extremely advanced in our mom's case and the only cure is immediate corneal transplants. One eye surgery is scheduled this week, and the other one after healing takes place which could be up to 3 months per eye. Everyone heals at a different speed. So with Gods will we are hoping for a speedy recovery.
She cannot drive, she cannot work for over 5 months. We would gladly take this disease away if we could, but we thought maybe this "Go Fund Me" could ease some of her financial concerns.
If many of us could give a little it would greatly bless her at this time. Even if all you can offer is prayers and good thoughts we would be so appreciative.
We love you mommy, times infinity ❤️
