Becky and Sam’s terrifying skydive adventure

Several years ago after a series of tough life events in our family, I was telling my boys how important it is to face your fears and make every day count. That conversation led to me promising my son Sam that I would do a tandem skydive alongside him once he was old enough. Bless him, he remembered

So, on Sam’s 16th birthday, we will both be jumping out of a plane at 12,000 feet and free falling for 45 seconds (hopefully not longer). Fortunately we each be strapped to an instructor who knows what they are doing.

This is completely out of my comfort zone- I don’t like heights or speed- I can’t even face the teacups ride at the funfair! But hopefully I’ll make memories and make my boys proud of me.

Sam is an adrenaline junkie who has been waiting six years for this- I hope it’s a brilliant way for him to spend his 16th birthday!

We would like to use this opportunity to raise money for a fantastic charity that rescues and rehomes animals across the UK, giving them a second chance to live a good life. We adopted our dog Sasha from them and are so grateful for all they do. Please consider sponsoring us, even a pound will make a difference.
