Hello family and friends!

As you're all aware Becky is still navigating the process to obtain permanent disability. She's made a lot of progress over the past few years and we're hopeful by the end of September or October she'll be approved. At this point Becky and Ezra need any financial help you can give to make it through the summer and early fall. I (Danny Chappell) am launching this GoFundMe to ask for your support. Prior to the last four years Becky was full of energy and involved in helping lead her community. She was the Operations Director of a school and helped with many community projects. In addition she has been raising a beautiful ball of energy named Ezra. Becky worked hard and volunteered whatever energy she had left to accomplish great milestones and help others.

For the past four years Becky hasn't been able to work due to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, severe anemia, and POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). For those of you who know Becky well this type of autoimmune condition has been devastating and has forced her to make major life adjustments. Essentially she only has the physical and mental energy of 1 normal day to use and stretch out for an entire week. She also has a lot of joint swelling and immobility. She needs to rest frequently throughout the day. Becky has been through lots of tests, poking, prodding, and medications to try to alleviate these symptoms. Becky can't stand for long without risking fainting and can't drive long distances. This is in addition to all the stresses and energy needed to raise Ezra as he transitions into first grade. They both live in Burton, MI.

Becky and Ezra have been financially and emotionally supported by myself and other generous family and friends to get this far. She is so very grateful for everything her loved ones have done to help her to this point! I can no longer support her monthly needs at this point in my career. I usually cover a few months of her budget per year (listed below) but have run out of funds to get her to the finish line (ideally the end of September). We recently liquidated her retirement to help her make it through June.

Rent $1100

Car payment and insurance $410

Credit card $150

Medications not covered $200

Utilities (gas, electricity, TV etc) $400

Essentials not covered by food stamps (clothing, cleaning supplies, etc) $200

Help with travel (drivers, gas) $100

Essential misc (haircuts, school supplies, vet visits etc) $200

Surprises (hospital visits, repairing damage from a 6 year old) $200

To get her from July through October we are setting the minimum goal for $15,000. Any additional funds would be appreciated as they can fund improvements in life such as help with cleaning around the house, activity memberships for Ezra like soccer, and possible future moves to a more stable environment.

To further complicate things Becky's accounts are closely monitored in the approval process by the SSA and other entities. Becky needs to have gift letters for every source of income. The plan is for me to withdraw the funds at the end of this campaign to an account under my name set aside solely for these funds. Several times a month I will write a gift letter and transfer them to her account to cover expenses. At any time I'm happy to provide proof of deposits etc. to anyone inquiring. This path will not throw any more wrenches in her approval process towards disability.
