Living Through A Nightmare
Please help our friends if you can!
Imagine the morning busy-ness as you head off to for work for the day. Catching a glimpse and smiling at your wedding photo in the entry, catching your toe on the baseball cleats left from the late night the game before, helping your son grab his backpack, and checking the light on the coffee pot before heading to the car. Now imagine getting the call hours later saying “I’m so, so sorry....it’s gone....it’s all gone!” That’s the horror our friends experienced today when their home burned to the ground. They literally have only the clothes on their backs. No toothbrushes, no photos, no cereal bowls - which would have been left in the kitchen sink. There is no kitchen sink. The lucky baseball shoes from the championship the year before - gone.
They are forever blessed that no lives were lost and they have each other.
The nightmare has just begun for our friends and we are hoping you can help them as they begin the long road of rebuild their home and their lives.
Please Help with $ towards the $10k deductible, give gift cards or credit at a store for clothing.....know a house in Evergreen that a family could live in for a while? Know of anyone near Evergreen that might have some extra furniture or will be buying new in the future and could give up a clean comfy couch they can use to snuggle and read with their son? A rug for their feet for when they are just out of the shower?
They are hard working individuals who give to their families and friends. We are trying to give back to them and hope you will help.
