Living with a severe hearing loss has been a daily and life long challenge for me to overcome.
Soccer has provided me with many opportunities,and has given me the confidence to overcome the many obstacles I have had to face.
I was able to represent the United States in Turkey when we won the World Championships in 2012. It was such an honor to be a part of such a team and event.
We are now getting prepared for the 2016 Deaf World Cup in Italy and the Olympics in 2017.
As players, we are each responsible for our travel costs for these events, which also includes training events here in the United States as well.
I would be very thankful for any donation of support you could provide to help me represent our country and to continue to play the sport that has helped me in so many ways.
