Hi, this is Patrick, I'm Becca's dad. Becca is going to have gender affirming surgery in January of 2022. We are so fortunate to have good insurance and the means to help Becca with this surgery, but even with good insurance and a good support network, this is an expensive surgery with a long recovery time. Beyond our co-pays and percentage of the surgery we are responsible for, this will require Becca's mom, Krista, to take an extended break from work to care for Becca and we will have to rent a 2-bedroom AirBnB in downtown San Francisco for 4 weeks, which is definitely not cheap.

Many family and friends have asked how they can help, so we decided the best and easiest way to accept support is to set up this GoFundMe for all those expenses I just listed. For those who wish to contribute and help Becca, we wanted to create this simple and up-front way to do so.
