This page is being set up for Rebecca (Becca) Archambault who has FINALLY received the diagnosis and help her family has so desperately been seeking for such long time.
Last October, Becca started having aches and pains in both her legs. It progressed to the point where walking was a chore, and she eventually had to have a wheelchair to get around. After exhausting all resources locally, her family decided it was time to seek treatment elsewhere as her condition was worsening. Prayers were finally answered after months of correspondence with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia!
Becca was diagnosed with a rare vascular disease called Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome. The muscle and tendons near the knee compress the main artery which restricts blood flow to the lower leg causing high levels of almost constant pain in Becca's case.
Currently, she is in Philadelphia with her mom Jamie, her sister Sophie, and her little dog Jack. They have been there for over 2 weeks undergoing a multitude of testing, and now finally surgery! The first surgery went amazingly well, and the second surgery is scheduled for July 15th.
This has obviously been a very stressful and costly situation for the family between travel and lodging expenses, missed work etc. We have created this GoFundMe page to support Becca and her family during this time, and to fulfill the desire to help that has been expressed by many who are wondering what they can do! There have been so many truly caring people involved throughout this process, and we are all forever thankful for all of your good wishes, thoughts and prayers.
