Literally a second chance at life we are all thankful for...
A woman with the strength of a warrior.
She has fought the battle of all battles, now we come together for her.
A "widowmaker" heart attack, a fight to bring that beat back. Complications bringing emergency surgeries to remove blood clots after her heart pump was removed being the most damning, after surviving death now an amputation of her leg to save her once again. Everyone who knows and loves Becca knows she is facing this life altering challenge with the same determination she shows when reveling as “Skate Edge” in a Roller Derby bout. Once alert, she’s shown such courage and determination. She’s now stable and off the ventilator and heart pump etc. and charming the hospital nurses into ALL flavors of ice cream. Our family has always been strong but this is a test no family wants to face. We ask our families from every corner to help in anyway you can show our love and support for this battle Becca is facing. Life may be altered for her but we can help provide those resources giving her normalcy to her everyday again. This will require lots of changes in her home, a vehicle accessible for someone with her struggles, medical bills, ramps, prosthetics etc. No one under these circumstances should have to bear the stress and struggles of how to proceed in a productive future. Let's all bond together to help our sister, friend, daughter, wife, and mother move forward to a life of love , smiles, and happiness. We know her second chance will not be taken for granted, she has much more to conquer and she will. A true hero.
