Hi, My name is Becca Young and I am a 22 year old English Karate Athlete.

At the age of 17, I got selected to join the National team. This means representing England in World, Continental and Commonwealth championships.

Most Recent Achievements:

I am currently competing abroad 3-6 times a year, in order to build experience to get selected for my country. This includes - Georgia (Jan 2026), Slovakia (March 2026), Spain (April 2026), Poland (June, 2026), Austria (October, 2026). 

Points earned in these competitions are essential for advancing up the rankings, bringing me closer to qualifying for the European and World Championships. As well as opening doors to multisport events like the European Games and the World Games. If I don't compete, I lose the opportunity to earn points, hindering my progress in the rankings which, ultimately, affects my chance of representing England.

Karate is a FULLY Self-Funded Sport, meaning costs of Training, Travel, Equipment, Accommodation and Competition entries are paid for by the athlete.

As you can see, I am putting everything I can into being an Elite Athlete for my country, determined to some day medal at a World or European Championships.

Any funds raised will be put towards my travel costs (flights, buses, taxis, petrol), accommodation, competition entries (ranging from £35-£100), training costs and any equipment / uniform needed.
