Hey Everyone,
Dammit! Beloved DJ, social activist, environmentalist and dear friend Becca Dakini was just finishing up a wonderful and successful DJ tour of the Bay Area and driving to Oakland airport. En route, she refueled her rental car at the Chevron station on 191, 98th street**. In the time it took her to walk to the cashier and back to her car - less than one minute - thieves smashed her two side car windows, and almost all contents were stolen.
Gah!!!
Please take a minute to consider her situation - and any amount you can offer to assist her in recovering from this huge loss and personal and professional setback. Becca has been behind so many great and important social causes....so let's please get behind her on this one: We can do this!

Passport replacement cost - $450
Mandatory travel to and from out of state embassy to get passport - $650
Required legal fees to replace visa in passport - $2500
Replacement work visa costs - $400
Mandatory travel to & from Australia to get visa replaced - $3000
New car keys (required getting car towed off of Orcas Island to dealership) - $600
Replaced post box locks due to stolen keys - $350
Miscellaneous items in bags (rare crystals, jewelry, clothing) - $1000

**AND: Avoid getting gas in Oakland - at all costs! If you do a google the chevron address and read the reviews, and the Yelp reviews too. So many aweful stories abound, which makes the police seem totally indifferent!!!!
