Hi,
I have decided to embark on a skydive to raise money in aid of The Alzheimer's Society. The photos are of my precious Dad, who in 2018, despite being one of the cleverest, most switched on men you could come across, got diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia.
I had no clue, how this life limiting, abhorrent medical condition would change all of our lives. You just don't know until you experience it. Watching someone you love become a version of themselves over time that you can no longer recognise, then watching them no longer recognise family, or know anything about themselves, is one of the cruelest things to happen to a person.
My brave father passed away in April 2024, having lost all brain capacity and physical capacity. We lost him twice. Once, like a slow drip of loss, then again when he passed away.
If I can help raise money for more understanding, more research and more hope towards eradicating or at least helping those with this horrible illness, then I know he would be proud.
I miss you Dad. Only really coming up in a plane so I can be a little closer to you.
love you always.
