Meet Rebecca Worasutr, our mom. She is a very strong, loving, caring, smart, thoughtful, and family-oriented 43-year-old.
Our mom has been recently diagnosed with cancer. Doctors are labeling it as gynecological cancer but spots were also found on the liver, appendix, colon, diaphragm, ovaries, uterus, and mesentery. The goal is to shrink the cancer spots with chemotherapy and then perform surgery to remove what the surgeons can. It is a long road for her to become 100% again, but our family is willing to fight with her.
She is a registered nurse and has been dedicated to her career and her patients. We have heard many stories from her and what she goes through at work and can tell that she makes connections with her patients. Even when she is home with us, we hear her talking to family members and giving them health/care advice for any medical issues. She’s the “go-to” in our family.
Our mom is the best mom anyone can ask for. No matter the situation, she is always there for us. She wakes up in the middle of the night to put cold towels on our foreheads when we have fevers and sleeps with us when we have nightmares. She will do her best to adjust her schedule to go to our school events or games and you know when she is there because you can hear her cheer for us from the stands!! She has always encouraged us to do our best at everything we do, and we strive to make her proud. My younger sister and I love her more than anything in the world.
Now she is the patient. It is our turn to help and keep her strong. There isn’t anything my sister, my family, and I wouldn’t do for her. Please consider sharing your love and support by donating funds to help my mom. We understand from our family history that medical bills will be piling up fast. Any donations, large or small, is greatly appreciated. If there happens to be any leftover funds, we will kindly donate it to charity.
