Beauty for Ashes in Italy 2023

Over the last two years, I have been so blessed to travel back to Italy twice to help host Beauty for Ashes retreats and trainings in several different locations. It has been such a restorative experience after our mission work in Italy ended in 2016. I’ve also continued meeting with a dedicated group of Italian facilitators every month through Zoom to offer ongoing training and coaching.

I have come to greatly treasure my friendships with these amazing women, who are so committed to seeing women experience healing and wholeness through the ministry of Beauty for Ashes Italia! Some of them helped lead sessions and small groups at our retreats last fall and several have stepped out to lead retreats on their own in their local communities. It has been beautiful to see them experience restoration through Jesus and then want to share it with others.

Now I have the opportunity to go back to Italy with a small team from October 4th to 17th to help host two more retreats. This time I will be working closely with our Italian facilitators as they take an even more active role in planning and leading weekend retreats in Bergamo and Tropea. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us!

We are in the process of finalizing the trip budget, but the estimated cost is $2,500-$3,000, depending on airfare (which unfortunately is more expensive than it has been in the past). Also, I am working to raise additional funds to help our Italian facilitators cover the cost of their lodging and food during the retreats, for an additional amount of about $1,000.

I know that God is working through these retreats and I am confident that He will provide the funds needed again this year. If you are willing and able to give towards my trip expenses or to help cover the costs for our Italian facilitators, I would be so grateful!
