Every hospital needs a CuddleCot™. This has gone overlooked for some reason, but we can change that. We can spread awareness of the tragedy that falls upon some 24,000 babies every year in the United States. In a perfect world, still births would not happen. In an ideal world, every hospital would have a CuddleCot™ just in case. In the world we live in, unfortunately, we have a need for, and a shortage of, these valuable tools. We are here to help change that.
The CuddleCot™ is a refrigerated pad that is placed into any Moses bassinet. This chilled pad allows for the baby to stay in the room with the parents for days rather than minutes or even hours. The pad and bassinet prevents the child from being taken in and out of the morgue. Could you possibly imagine what it would feel like to have your child taken from you after he or she was born? If you wanted to see your newborn, you would have to ask your doctor to get your baby from a morgue. We have advanced beyond that.
For $3,000 we can buy a CuddleCot™ and donate it to the Van Wert County Hospital. If this helps ease the pain of just one family, we will consider this mission successful. We need your help. These families need your help. If you could spare anything, it will be appreciated. If you could share this with friends and family, we would be grateful. If we, as a community, could obtain one of these on behalf of the Van Wert County Hospital, we could help lessen the unbearable pain these families have to endure.
Recently Beau Flory was born and passed all too soon. This CuddleCot™ would be in remembrance of him, and in his honor. His family had to say goodbye too soon. We know he is in a better place now, and he is looking down on us all and he is smiling. Someday we will be able to keep sweet babies like Beau on this Earth longer than their parents, but until that day in medical science, we need the CuddleCot™. As a community it is our responsibility to help each other. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
We aim for $3,000 to provide one CuddleCot™ to VWCH. If the goal is exceeded, the additional funding will go toward a bassinet, blankets, or even put toward a CuddleCot™ for another hospital. Thank you for your time, thoughts, and prayers.
