Beautiful mumma needs a car for treatment
Donation protected
I am writing this for and with permission from my beautiful friend Michelle Jarrett.
Michelle is a young mother of 2 beautiful boys and partner to her high school sweetheart Cameron and lives in a small town on the Mid North Coast of NSW called Bowraville. I have known Michelle since she was a little girl. We have grown close over the past few years through our kids in school, community and football.
In April, this year she went for a scan on her liver as she has ongoing problems and needs regular check-ups and scans. Whilst undergoing this scan the radiographer spotted what he thought was fluid on her right lung and suggested she investigate further with a chest x-ray. It was at that point they found 2 lumps in chest area and a further one on her neck which they took a biopsy from for testing.
This testing confirmed the diagnosis of Stage 4 - Hodgkin Lymphoma in advanced state. This diagnosis would be devasting for anyone let alone a young vibrant 27-year-old mother with so much more to do in life. She started chemotherapy straightaway which meant having to travel to Coffs Harbour every fortnight which is a 2 hr round trip.
Before her diagnosis Michelle was working in a busy café, studying, playing ladies league tag football for local Macksville club and running around after her 2 extremely active little boys. Due to her fortnightly chemotherapy sessions which make her sick for days afterwards and endless specialist appointments she is unable to work or study. She was hoping to get an all clear before Christmas so she could recommence her employment but has had another setback in her recovery which may not see her working till next year.
In this time the family has had to sell their second car to help pay for transport costs and piling bills. As her partner only has part time work it makes it extremely hard to make ends meet. The car that they are using is not reliable and constantly breaking down which is incredibly stressful for this young family when there is so much travelling involved with ongoing treatment for my wonderful friend’s recovery.
Michelle is a strong, courageous and very humble person that has inspired many people in her community. She is a warrior and fighter and has my utmost respect and on-going support and love through the hardest fight of her life.
I am asking for any donation whether small or large to help this beautiful family to buy a reliable car to get to treatment and pay bills that are building up in their household.
I feel this would alleviate some of the stress and anxiety that Michelle and her family must be going through at this extremely difficult time in their young lives’.
Thankyou for taking the time to read my friend’s story.
Even if it is not possible to contribute any monetary donations could you please share my post to get this out there.
Thanks again.
